History

Mr. Baskin began his Marin practice in 1974 with the formation of KRAUSE & BASKIN in Kenfield, CA. He and Marshall Krause opened their office practice with a mixture of civil and criminal defense work.  From 1978 to 1995 the firm was located at Wood Island in Larkspur, CA and added partners and asscoiates in growing the practicwe as a full service firm.  In 1995 Mr. Krause retired and Mr. Baskin relocated his practice to its current location in downtown San Rafael.  Mr. Baskin's practice focuses in the areas of Real Estate and Land use Planning; the formation of business entities icluding partnerships, corporations, limited liabilty companies and joint ventures along with serving as counsel to on-going businesses providing assistance as outside general counsel; and in the field of Construction law representing contractors and homeowners in contract matters and disputes concerning claims of defective construction.

In 1997 Mr. Baskin added Mediation services to the practice.  He mediates cases in the primary focus areas of his practice and other matters as requested.
